Beschreibung
The aim of the digitalEdition project is to provide a user-friendly micro-editing platform that specializes in the digital presentation and processing of editorial text materials. The platform offers a dynamic HTML text-image view that is generated from the data stored in DTA-BR and enables flexible and interactive presentation.
A central feature of digitalEdition is the data management in DTA-BR format, which guarantees structured and standard-compliant storage of editions. The dynamic transformation into an HTML view ensures intuitive and reader-friendly use of the data.
Metadata management enables precise documentation of the editions. Users can view the metadata in TEI header and METS/MODS formats, which facilitates comprehensive contextualization and reuse of the data.
In addition, digitalEdition complements the DBP project by expanding the range of monographs and literary texts and creating new possibilities for analysis and contextualization.
