Description
The Digital Collection of German Colonialism (DSDK) consists of holdings from the Bremen State and University Library (SuUB Bremen) and the Johann Christian Senckenberg University Library Frankfurt/Main (UB Frankfurt). For the first time, a digital collection of texts on the core period of German colonialism (1884 - 1919) will be made digitally accessible, thus offering the opportunity to pose theoretical questions using technologically up-to-date, computer-aided methods. The corpus can be used by various academic disciplines. The publications are set in Fraktur according to the period. The automatic full-text digitization was carried out using Optical Character Recognition (OCR) methods. The Digital Collection of German Colonialism is presented in the SuUB Bremen and the UB Frankfurt.
